Rare A.H. Gale Grand Piano - Completely Restored
Shane Owenby at Piano Emporium has completely restored a rare, A.H. Gale square grand piano of ours that was a family heirloom, over 160 years old, and in poor condition. [The A.H. Gale piano company was established in 1837 as the New York Piano Manufacturing Co. The name was changed to A.H. Gale & Co. in 1845. It was discontinued in 1870.] We went to his store in Weaverville, NC before the work began. He graciously and patiently explained the restoration process to us and helped us understand the details of the work he would do. He also helped us arrange a delivery of the piano from Texas to North Carolina. Read More
Amazing Restoration: 100 Year-Old Antique Piano Brought Back to Life
After shopping around and talking to various Piano Shops about restoring my 101 year old Player piano, I decided that the Piano Emporium was the right choice. Shane talked to me extensively and showed personal interest and understanding about the potential my instrument had, the realities of taking on this project (both the good and bad), and even took extra time to show me other pianos that have undergone similar restorations. I was given many options to choose from to fit my budget, and the knowledge and individual attention I needed to make the right decisions. Read More
My Most Treasured Possession - Completely Restored!
My Grandmother, a concert pianist at 17, left me her Vintage 1901 Steinway Grand Piano over 50 years ago. Shane Owenby took perfect care of it for many years before I finally realized it needed complete restoration. It had suffered through more than 30 moves just with me, had a cracked sound board and a severely damaged cabinet. Shane is the only person I would have trusted with this extraordinary instrument. When he returned it to me recently after only one year, I hardly recognized it. Read More
Dependable & Trusting
A baby grand was on my bucket list, but it's not a decision made lightly. When I found Piano Emporium and met Shane, I knew immediately that I could trust them to find the perfect piano for me. They did—a beautiful, 96-year-old Sohmer Cupid completely restored. Shane and his crew remain a dependable part of this experience, tuning, and advising on care and maintenance. Piano Emporium stands behind my investment as if it were still in their personal care.
Highly recommended. After trying to decide whether to refurbish an existing family piano, we bought a Weber upright at Piano Emporium that we are very happy with. Shane took the time to really help us make the right decision and find the best piano for our budget. Piano Emporium is great because not only do they sell pianos, they work on them and restore them, too, so they have and extra level of knowledge I don't think you'd find other places. I feel like they answered all our questions honestly and were a pleasure to deal with. They even called after I'd had the piano a couple weeks to make sure I was happy with it.
Incredible Restoration Job - Easy to Work With
Piano Emporium did an incredible job restoring my 1968 Steinway! Shane was easy to work with and the work done was top notch. So, if you have a piano that needs work or want to purchase a piano I would definitely recommend Piano Emporium. Now my family has a family heirloom to play and treasure for many generations to come. Thanks guys!
