Uprights
Upright piano strings are mounted vertically as opposed to the grand. The upright is a common piano for use in the home as it occupies much less space and produces ample volume for the living room. The smallest vertical piano currently in production is the console (40-45″ high), then the studio (45-49″ high) and finally the upright (49″ and higher). Each has different characteristics as well as function and any of them would make an excellent addition to your home. In terms of height, here are how our uprights compare to one another: Designer Consoles: 44″-45″, B series verticals: 45″-48″; Professional Studios: 45″-48″; Professional Uprights: 52″.
